Portrait Series

I took inspiration from my last shoot, and kept the whole vulnerability and focus on beauty, and I decided to take more pictures. This time experimenting with colour, lights and composition. 

So I looked through my notes and researched artists and I decided I wanted to create a mix of  Francesca Woodman and David Lynch. I wanted her fragility and the movement on her photographs, but I also wanted the cinematic feel of David Lynch, the way he portrays people in harmony of colour.

So I took my friends again to take pictures. I used photography lighting, different coloured gels and a little experiment - I took a light and I made it go through different coloured bottles. I came up with a very interesting result that I think portrayed what I wanted in a better manner, and I like the aesthetic better in general.
