Lighting Workshop

Learning about Three Point Lighting and more Induction Stuff

Joe being the best Model on Earth

This are the things I learnt in the Lighting workshop, as usual on my notes:

We also learnt stuff like the hazards and what to look out for.
  • Hot lights.- let them cool down, handdle with care, have a frie plan, use heat resistan stuff, GLOVES!!
  • Blinding (retinal burn) .- Notify your crew.
  • Bad Cables (electrocution and more nasty stuff).- cellotape it, check if they are in good condition.
  • Heavyness.- handdle with care.
  • Circuit Overpowering.- get to know about the light you are using and check your power supply.
  • Water.- Dont have any exposed cables, dont take your lights outdoors.

And here are some more things I learnt in the workshop.

This is what the inside of the light looks like.

ALWAYS USE GLOVES WHILE YOU HANDLE THE LIGHT BULBS -Anne

It was a fun workshop and it certainly makes me want to experiment with the studio, because its not very much my style, but maybe I can find something new there. It was a very different experience.

  1. I am glad you enjoyed the workshop but perhaps you should consider getting more experience of lighting because I can see that you have a very good sense of the effect of light when you take photographs. It's a new step where you start to not only recognise good light but are able to create good lighting for yourself. It's a thought for the future and worth stepping out your comfort zone to give it a try - you might find you are good at it!
