A Night in Plymouth

So we where given the task to take a new set of portraits. I mind mapped some ideas to see what I could do for this project, you can take a look at them here:
William Eggleston photographs everyday scenarios but gives them his own twist, its beautiful and mysterious. His very saturated images are created with dye transfer when he develops his films. People call his style the "New American Colour Photography".

It is very observational and I like that a lot, because he takes this mundane situations, and makes them a whole lot interesting, which I guess is my goal as a photographer - to make visible the mundane. I think his Chromes are my favourite pieces of work simply because of the use of colour. I will certainly try to take a bit of him into my photography, take more test shoots I suppose. But for now this is my Third idea's test shoot.

I started exploring with my third idea because the oportunity to
photograph and film my friend performing in a pub was presented, so I
explored this kind of candid photography. I took inspiration in William
Eggleston's use of colour and the way he portrays people I guess, very
self aware of the camera. To be honest I'm not very pleased with the
results, but it's okay because its just a text shoot. I think I like
more my film material than the photographs, but I guess it is biased
because I really like my friends music.
Here are my test photos, you can see they are not the best. But I do like the colours and the feel they have to them.
